ReplyDeleteLovely!! I like to put on Netflix and watch Eureka episodes while I sew. :)
ReplyDeleteI sew to the TV or radio :) x
ReplyDeleteThis American Life podcasts. Thank you for your generosity.
ReplyDeleteThe spots just show up with storage. I wash old linens and cottons first in a gentle detergent. Sometimes that's enough. If not, a good long soak in water with very diluted bleach and some time out in sunshine usually do it. You can prevent this by airing out and washing occasionally. Which requires more dedication than I have, apparently. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteI'm usually either watching TV or listening to the radio. Currently it's ER from the beginning.
ReplyDeleteUsually listening to music
ReplyDeletebbbmonce(at)yahoo(dot)com

ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of netflix or xfinity...I watch old TV series on my iPad or phone, and they go so quickly without the commercials :)
ReplyDeleteI always sew with the TV on although I don't really pay much attention to it
ReplyDeleteI have a few ideas for your lace issue. First and most mild, try luke-warm water in a bowl, with several teaspoons of baking soda dissolved in it. Soak the lace for a half hour or so, then rinse in clear cool water and air dry until almost dry, then press with a warm iron (not hot)just to flatten it out. If that doesn't work, try the same thing only using Oxi-clean. And it THAT doesn't work, try dipping in half water, half lemon juice, and laying it out on a clean white plate or platter (depending on how big it is) in direct sunlight for a few hours, at the top of the day (brightest sun). When the spots fade, rinse and dry as described earlier. Those are the ways I've cleaned up old lace in the past :)
ReplyDeleteI like the radio on but must admit that when I get absorbed I don't hear a thing.
ReplyDeletegittehknudsen@hotmail.com

ReplyDeleteI like to listen to Pandora so I can enjoy new artists.
ReplyDeleteI believe that is rust on your fabric which is usually removed with lemon and sunlight--but I think only do that on the white piece. Not sure about the other but you could tea stain it back if the lemon/sunlight lightens it too much.
I love to listen to musice while I sew.
ReplyDeleteNPR... radio lab or this american life. or pandora: wailin' jenny's station.
ReplyDeleteand i'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteI listen to audio books as I sew. Thanks for the opportunity to win your giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI prefer quiet when I'm sewing. I've tried listening to audiobooks but I sometines get too involved in the book & do something wrong with my sewing. Thanks for the giveaway.
